CMB Regional Centers is looking to fill its Project Analyst role in their Rock Island, IL office.

What does the Project Analyst do?

The Project Analyst plays an integral role on the project team, acting as the transaction lead from deal initiation to close. This person is assertive, proactive and multifaceted. This person also holds a strong understanding of financial data and modeling and/or econometric input-output modeling and project risk.

What does the day to day look like?

In this position, you will:

Plan, structure, coordinate, conduct, and document project finance transactions from deal initiation to close as well as negotiate and document transaction terms and conditions by working closely with internal and external stakeholders

Utilize due diligence, financial modeling and analysis, structuring, and underwriting to understand and mitigate transaction risks

Develop, modify, maintain, and present financial analysis reports, financial models, and market research analysis to determine financial feasibility of potential projects

Prepare risk assessments and present recommendations to mitigate risks, develop sensitivity analysis and key drivers, and evaluate risk/return dynamics for proposed transactions

Forecast credit risk and stress testing by analyzing financial data and statements, cash flows, capital and deal structures, and collateral

Conduct industry and capital market research and maintain a strong understanding of trends and the regulatory environment

Collect and maintain data necessary to analyze unemployment statistics. Utilize input-output econometric models to forecast job creation impacts of development projects.

Prepare and coordinate business presentations; represent company in meetings with borrowers, at seminars, and at industry panels/conferences

What would set me apart from other candidates?

While possessing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field is required for this position, you can set yourself apart by having an MBA or Master’s Degree in Finance or Economics.

What are the hours?

This is a hybrid position located in our Rock Island, IL office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8a to 5p daily. CMB employees are extended the opportunity to work from home two days a week after their introductory period.
